In recent history, the acoustic guitar boasts a bunch of key body shapes and styles that can fill in as one of the key variations for players hoping to get another instrument. While the careful definitions change brand to brand and time to time, most guitarists fully understand what you mean when you allude to a guitar as a dreadnought, a jumbo or a grand auditorium.
