The super-cardioid polar pattern minimises surrounding audio so you pick up sound only from the on-camera subject. The Rycote Lyre shock mounting system provides further isolation from physical factors that create unwanted vibrations or rumble, and its thermoplastic construction means it will never wear out or snap, unlike traditional elastic suspension solutions. A standard shoe mount lets you mount the mic onto your camera, and it's also threaded for easy boom pole mounting.

Level settings are easy to access on the rear of the mic, letting you attenuate or boost your recording levels. Choose the -10dB level attenuation to record live music, motorsports, or interviews with the subject very close to the camera, and opt for the +20dB boost with DSLR cameras to reduce the amount of unwanted noise generated by the camera''s audio circuitry.
