Fender’s Jazz Bass just became a guitar with The Sixty-Six

April 15, 2019

Fender has reported the most recent in its Alternate Reality line of unusual electric guitars - meet The Sixty-Six, which groups a scaled back Jazz Bass body with Strat and Tele arrangements.

The ash body includes a similar chrome control plate and knobs as the original Jazz Bass structure, and is offered in the trademark Jazz Bass Natural Finish with the beautiful dark scratch-plate, yet includes the Strat's vintage-style synchronized tremolo.

Two Player Series Telecaster single coil pickups and a Player Series hum-bucker are fitted to this amazing instrument, changed through a five-way selector switch.

Also onboard in a Modern C maple neck with 9.5"-Radius fingerboard, and vintage-style machine heads.

Other than the natural look, different completions include Three-Color Sunburst and a scrumptious Daphne Blue, both with three-ply mint green pick-guards.
