Bought this Takamine 12 string acoustic electric guitar after considering reviews of several other brands. When it arrived, I was somewhat surprised it was a little wider and taller than expected. The colour of the back and sides were similar in colour to the top rather the darker sides shown in the website pictures. The width and depth of the neck suits my small hand and the low action makes it easy to play without heavy pressure on the strings. The fitted strings (which I was told was D'Addario light gauge) give a nice bright and balanced sound across the frequency range. The tuning has been stable and does not drift much over several days. The preamp includes a built-in tuner that made tuning the strings easy. The equaliser on the pre-amp allows some adjustment of the audio response to personal preference when playing through an amplifier. Having played the instrument for several days now, it has been an enjoyable experience and I am very satisfied with it.
