At Haworth Guitars, we are very proud of the fact that we are the biggest seller of Maton Guitars in Australia for 2010/2011 financial year. Maton is one of our favourite brands here at Haworth's. Most of our staff members actually own and play their own Maton Guitar. Some even have more than just one! Maton was originally founded many years ago by Bill May, an Australian high school teacher by trade who loved making furniture. Now Bill has passed on and leaves the running of the business to his daughter Linda and son-in-law Neville Kitchen. Maton is still a family run business, now not only with a great name and reputation in Australia, but also internationally, with artists such as Tommy Emmanuel, Michael Fix and Diesel touring overseas promoting Maton and their own signature series guitars.

Glenn Haworth actually spent a week at the Maton factory a few years back learning how Maton make their instruments. Glenn worked closely with the head of the Maton Custom Shop Andy Allen to get a true hands-on feel. We also make sure that we have the cheapest maton guitars around, and if you happen to notice a better price somewhere else, remember we beat prices.
