Humble beginnings

Haworth Guitars started from very humble beginnings in the late 1990's with high school industrial arts teacher Phil Haworth leaving his full time teaching job to start his own business building and repairing guitars.

Focusing strongly on customer service, business grew quickly. Phil shortly opened up his own music store in Kiama Downs, moving from his workshop in his own garage to sell guitars and musical instruments as well as build and repair them.

People travelled from all over to buy instruments from Phil's shop in 'the middle of nowhere' and to have their guitars repaired by a master luthier. 

A growing team

The business is internationally recognised with haworthguitars.com.au now receiving orders daily from all over the world.

The distribution centre is now located at 22 Durgadin Drive, Albion Park Rail, operating as Haworth's Shellharbour Music Centre and Drum Room.

Glenn has now opened up a second store Haworth's Music Centre Wollongong as of April 2013 at 1B, 135-143 Princes Highway, Fairy Meadow NSW.

Now with over 20 staff, the business continues to exceed expectations and has been the biggest seller of Cole Clark guitars world wide for the last 3 years.

Music Lessons

The Haworth Music School operates within both the Wollongong and Shellharbour stores and sees hundreds of students arrive every week to better their skills in guitar, drums, piano, bass, ukulele, singing and more. With a team of over 25 teaching professionals and the annual Haworth Music School concerts packing out consistently, the Haworth Music School is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after music school's in the country.
