Today the long wait was finally over: my guitar arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First impression report: After opening and removing a lot of air cushions and plastics:

Guitar case looks excellent, made the right choice there. No further damage, so the loose jack could be caused by aircraft vibrations.....

Guitar is light, wood looks absolutely stunning. Action is al right, may take a short while to get used to the neck (my Martin neck is thicker and shiny lacquered). But that will work out just fine. Never had an instrument in my hands that looks and plays that good.

It looks awesome, it plays excellent, and I am very glad I didn't go for the pretentious CGP inlay! Sound is very, very nice! Especially when run through an amp.

There will be a whole lot of playing this christmas holiday. I already think my Martin will gather a lot of dust and finally go for sale. Thanks a lot for everything, you can consider me one happy costumer halfway across the globe. Thanks for plectrums and polishing cloth.

I sent an email to Haworth Guitars on 24 November to enquire about your Maton range of guitars. I had a few questions. In less than 24 hours, I received a very comprehensive response from Mr Matt Bragg. He answered my questions in more details than I could've ever expected! Furthermore, a chain of emails took place between Mr Bragg and myself, as more questions from my end arose.

In all his correspondence, Mr Bragg displayed a keen desire to deliver more than he was expected to. He spoke to me from a professional and personal point of view, which I really admired. I am in awe of the exceptional service provided by Mr Bragg, 7 emails in total, and yet I had not spent a dollar with Haworth Guitars!

I finally made a decision on which particular guitar I will purchase. Based in Melbourne, I could not physically go to Haworth Guitars to make my selection, so I went to a local music shop. They offered me an outstanding deal, which was very challenging to walk away from!

I went back to Haworth Guitars and advised them about the deal that I have been offered! Not only did Mr Bragg, match the deal, he beat it, while giving me a few freebies! The guitar arrived the very next day!

As a Corporate Coach, I always emphasise to my clients that they should have a great product range, and an even greater level of service. Mr Bragg seems to live and breathe that statement! Needless to say, Mr Bragg is setting the benchmark for service standards in the Australian market, where we have seen a decline in service standards over the years! Customers of Haworth guitars will be treated to a level of service, unheard of in this market, all thanks to Mr Bragg.

As a mother with three kids who are into music I have visited, and spent a fair bit of time in, many music stores over the last couple of years.
Your store is the one place I am always happy to go.

Its the one place where we are consistently made to feel welcome. The boys who work there are always super friendly and go out of their way to provide great service.
They are also knowledgeable and are happy to share their knowledge. I have recommended your store to many people since we first visited over a year ago.

All the boys there are great but we have dealt with Andy particularly a number of times and he is always brilliant. Today, though, he went above and beyond and I really want to thank him. We bought strap locks for my eldest son's guitar yesterday and I managed to stuff up trying to install one of them. I took the guitar in today in the hope that someone could fix it for me.

I expected to have to leave the guitar for several days. Andy took one look at it, and set about fixing it on the spot. He ran into a couple of little hurdles along the way (even ran up to Playmaze to get a toothpick!) but remained positive and cheerful and had it all sorted really quickly. That boy deserves a raise!!!! I recalled that I knew a song called "Andy, you're a star". And he is. I got the artist wrong, for some reason I remembered it as REM but its actually The Killers. The rest of the lyrics are not relevant but I have attached it for Andy anyway.

I wanted to write to say thanks for your awesome service.

Your price for the guitar I purchased was the among the best I found on the web or in-store, and adding in the free hard case and free set-up and service made it an absolute bargain. I ordered my guitar through your website, called the next day to confirm, was informed it was already packed for delivery, and that it should take 3 or 4 business days at the latest to reach me in Canberra.

I was very happy when I received the guitar 2 days earlier than expected, complete with an unexpected bag of free guitar picks. A nice touch.

I had my first guitar lesson last night and am really impressed with the guitar. It feels and sounds great even to my untrained ear and played with my fumble fingers.

I'll happily recommend your store to anyone looking for a new instrument.

The Martin guitar is a beaut! I played it all night and have worn the skin off most of my fingers. It's a delight to play and the tone and volume surprise me for a guitar of this size and weight.

Today I travelled by bus from Wollongong with my partner and 2 children to your store in the hopes of buying a new acoustic guitar.

Upon walking into the store I noticed right away the relaxed atmosphere compared to other guitar stores where immediately they are jumping down your throat trying to sell you something. But not this time, instead we were greeted with friendly hellos and warm smiles, which I can say, is such a refreshing change.

After Phil's advice and guidance, I walked out of there with my Cort 701F, very pleased indeed. Not only with the guitar but I think more for the fantastic, kind, friendly service you gave myself and my family. Which means a whole lot more to me.

If I found the same guitar for a hundred dollars cheaper elsewhere, I would still make the trip to Haworth only because I know I would be walking out of there completely happy and satisfied.

So once again Phil, thankyou so much for your excellent service and customer care. You made my week!

Well..............what can I say? The Maton EA80C arrived on Friday afternoon, and so I've been busy this past weekend!! What a peach! Thank you so very much for your time and attention. The guitar is simply fabulous and I'm so glad that I overcame my worries about buying over the internet and bought this one from you. Your service has been first rate. I never had to wonder what was happening as you kept me in touch all the way through. Everything I asked for (and let's face it, it was not a straightforward request) was included.

Maton has done a good job. Phil, you were right about the finish. It's flawless. And you were also right about the abalone...it really makes the guitar look extra special.

The sound is the main thing of course, and it sounds as rich and warm as you want. Somehow, when you listen for the top, it's there....when you listen for the bottom, it's there. Doesn't matter what style, fingerpicking or strumming the guitar gives just the right answers.

Thank you once again for your fabulous service. Next time I want to buy a guitar, I shall come to you again. You have certainly dispelled any fears I had about buying via the internet.

The Maton EST60C arrived in immaculate condition inside an impressive looking hiscox case and the complimentary polishing cloth and plectrums (a handful of them) were much appreciated. Your apparent concerns to ensure I would not be disappointed when I first received my guitar has resulted in my subsequent order of the Line 6 Amplifier.

Such is the confidence I now have for Haworths, and would recommend yourselves without conviction to any and every person in need of not just owning a musical instrument, but having one to cherish and enjoy over the years.

Admittedly, I was naturally apprehensive on what I would be getting as I have never owned or heard of a Maton before, and more so, have never mail-ordered a musical instrument without first trying it out. In short, I have never put so much trust in someone I have never met of known. I have no regrets.

My Maton EBG808 Artist arrived today. What a joy! I had played a lot guitars before I bought this one and was going strictly on Tommy's video. This is the best all around sounding guitar of the bunch and I tried some fine ones.

The guitar is just a joy to play, the action is perfect. I am also very impressed with the craftmanship.

I love the Maton Mastersound. I immediately sat down, tuned it, plugged in and played for an hour straight. It sounds and looks absolutely beautiful; it makes my beloved 1975 Mustang look like a Squire Strat.

I have never dealt with a store like this. The handwritten note was a wonderful gesture, it shows that you really care. It doesn't matter that you're halfway around the world, I will never order a guitar from any store other than Haworth.

A HUGE thank you. My daughter and I purchased a Maton EBG808CLC and what an amazing instrument it is. Your guidance Phil, was most appreciated and we were grateful for the absence of high pressure selling techniques.... just sound advice of the pros and cons of different instruments.

I'd thoroughly recommend this model as a great all rounder at a good price, it is a joy to play and like I saw on the net somewhere, "once you pick up a bunya top guitar, they are hard to put down". The guitar sings so nicely you don't want to stop playing it, Aside from the sound, with the cherry gloss finish, and great craftsmanship the instrument is a thing of beauty, as my other daughter commented, a work of art. It will be played lovingly for many years to come.

I recently purchased a brand new Gretsch Sparkle Jet from you via ebay. Not only did I get this at an excellent price but I also took you up on your offer of a reduced price hard case for it. Seeing as I was getting such a good deal I thought something had to be wrong... it turns out that I was the only one that was wrong.

The guitar arrived in perfect condition in a beautiful hard case (with some free picks, thanx!!!!) within 24 hours of calling the store.

The sound, playability and build is really up there with any American guitar.
