As a mother with three kids who are into music I have visited, and spent a fair bit of time in, many music stores over the last couple of years.
Your store is the one place I am always happy to go.

Its the one place where we are consistently made to feel welcome. The boys who work there are always super friendly and go out of their way to provide great service.
They are also knowledgeable and are happy to share their knowledge. I have recommended your store to many people since we first visited over a year ago.

All the boys there are great but we have dealt with Andy particularly a number of times and he is always brilliant. Today, though, he went above and beyond and I really want to thank him. We bought strap locks for my eldest son's guitar yesterday and I managed to stuff up trying to install one of them. I took the guitar in today in the hope that someone could fix it for me.

I expected to have to leave the guitar for several days. Andy took one look at it, and set about fixing it on the spot. He ran into a couple of little hurdles along the way (even ran up to Playmaze to get a toothpick!) but remained positive and cheerful and had it all sorted really quickly. That boy deserves a raise!!!! I recalled that I knew a song called "Andy, you're a star". And he is. I got the artist wrong, for some reason I remembered it as REM but its actually The Killers. The rest of the lyrics are not relevant but I have attached it for Andy anyway.

I've had my Maton ECW80C for just under 2 weeks and I'm very pleased with it!

I hope you'll pass along my sincere thanks to both Phil and Glenn, as well as yourself, for going the extra mile in making sure I was happy with my purchase. It says quite a lot about a company that stands behind a sale in the way that Haworth Guitars has done for me.

It's certainly great when a purchase goes perfectly from the get go. But, how a company behaves towards the customer when a problem does occur is really the true test of it's customer service. Considering I'm halfway around the world from your shop it made it that much more difficult for you to support the sale. Please understand that I very much appreciate that fact and am sincerely grateful in how you (Haworth Guitars) have handled my purchase!

I'll be in the market for a 12 string version of the ECW80 in the near future and wouldn't consider going anywhere other than Haworth Guitars.

I wanted to write to say thanks for your awesome service.

Your price for the guitar I purchased (Yamaha FGX720SCA) was the among the best I found on the web or in-store, and adding in the free hard case and free set-up and service made it an absolute bargain. I ordered my guitar through your website, called the next day to confirm, was informed it was already packed for delivery, and that it should take 3 or 4 business days at the latest to reach me in Canberra.

I was very happy when I received the guitar 2 days earlier than expected, complete with an unexpected bag of free guitar picks. A nice touch.

I had my first guitar lesson last night and am really impressed with the guitar. It feels and sounds great even to my untrained ear and played with my fumble fingers.

I'll happily recommend your store to anyone looking for a new instrument.

Hi Phil,

Just a short note to let you know how happy I am with the guitar and amp I got from you this week. Although I am a repeat customer, I've been remiss in that this is the first time I've made the time to thank you in writing.

The strat (Hwy 1) is a ripper and easily the best playing Strat I've owned and yes I've owned a few !! Your set up is, as always, absolutely brilliant.

The amp (Legacy Blues Twin) is a cracker also - not only pricewise but tonewise as well. I've owned amps far more expensive than this one and am in a position where I can compare - this one is a cracker.

Again Phil, many thanks to yourself and your team and especially Paul. You all make it a pleasure to make trip there - your professional and friendly attitude should be required study for the majority of guitar shops in Sydney. Not all of us are professional or even semi professional musicians yet you and your staff treat everyone equally with the same friendly manner. It is greatly appreciated.

Hi Phil, and staff.

Today I travelled by bus from Wollongong with my partner and 2 children to your store in the hopes of buying a new acoustic guitar.

Upon walking into the store I noticed right away the relaxed atmosphere compared to other guitar stores where immediately they are jumping down your throat trying to sell you something. But not this time, instead we were greeted with friendly hellos and warm smiles, which I can say, is such a refreshing change.

After Phil's advice and guidance, I walked out of there with my Cort 701F, very pleased indeed. Not only with the guitar but I think more for the fantastic, kind, friendly service you gave myself and my family. Which means a whole lot more to me.

If I found the same guitar for a hundred dollars cheaper elsewhere, I would still make the trip to Haworth only because I know I would be walking out of there completely happy and satisfied.

So once again Phil, thankyou so much for your excellent service and customer care. You made my week!

Well..............what can I say? The Maton EA80C arrived on Friday afternoon, and so I've been busy this past weekend!! What a peach! Thank you so very much for your time and attention. The guitar is simply fabulous and I'm so glad that I overcame my worries about buying over the internet and bought this one from you. Your service has been first rate. I never had to wonder what was happening as you kept me in touch all the way through. Everything I asked for (and let's face it, it was not a straightforward request) was included.

Maton has done a good job. Phil, you were right about the finish. It's flawless. And you were also right about the abalone...it really makes the guitar look extra special.

The sound is the main thing of course, and it sounds as rich and warm as you want. Somehow, when you listen for the top, it's there....when you listen for the bottom, it's there. Doesn't matter what style, fingerpicking or strumming the guitar gives just the right answers.

Thank you once again for your fabulous service. Next time I want to buy a guitar, I shall come to you again. You have certainly dispelled any fears I had about buying via the internet.

The Maton EST60C arrived in immaculate condition inside an impressive looking hiscox case and the complimentary polishing cloth and plectrums (a handful of them) were much appreciated. Your apparent concerns to ensure I would not be disappointed when I first received my guitar has resulted in my subsequent order of the Line 6 Amplifier.

Such is the confidence I now have for Haworths, and would recommend yourselves without conviction to any and every person in need of not just owning a musical instrument, but having one to cherish and enjoy over the years.

Admittedly, I was naturally apprehensive on what I would be getting as I have never owned or heard of a Maton before, and more so, have never mail-ordered a musical instrument without first trying it out. My EBG808 Artist is here! I am so thrilled with the first impressions that I'm almost speechless!

The setup seems lovely - the guitar almost plays itself. Believe me, I have never played anything like this before, very loud and so much tone for a little guitar. It's just so different to any of my other guitars, but once I've got to know it, we'll have a lot of fun together.

The neck is nice and straight, even after the plane flight.

So, many many thanks. It was a very painless experience, buying from a music shop half way round the world, and if I'm ever in NSW, I'll pop in and thank you personally.

My new Maton 808 arrived Friday and is outstanding. The case held up just fine and the guitar was in perfect shape. It's a real treat to play...very different from my Martins and Gibson...clear, precise...my local guitar store was impressed. Maton is quite unknown up here, so it's fun to have something so different.
My only complaint is that I don't yet sound like Tommy Emmanuel. I must need to do some more work (what a surprise!).

I was looking for a really nice acoustic guitar and while I was leaning towards getting a Martin, I started to see a few artists that I liked playing Maton acoustics. There sound was great, but I couldn't find any of them here in America. I finally came across Haworth Guitars online and asked them a bunch of questions about the Maton EBG808 Artist.

Both Phil and Deanna were VERY helpful in answering all my questions and putting me at ease about making such a purchase. I was worried about 2 things; buying an acoustic guitar without hearing it and the delivery from Australia to Wilmington, DE USA.

They checked the guitar out about certain questions I had on playability and sound- then sent it to me insured when I was ready. It got to me in 8 days and I LOVE it.

I think it sounds better than my friend's Martin D28 [and it has a pickup]. Thanks to everyone at Haworth Guitars! If anyone wants to ask me any questions personally you can you can ask Phil for my email address.

I love the Maton Mastersound. I immediately sat down, tuned it, plugged in and played for an hour straight. It sounds and looks absolutely beautiful; it makes my beloved 1975 Mustang look like a Squire Strat.

I have never dealt with a store like this. The handwritten note was a wonderful gesture, it shows that you really care. It doesn't matter that you're halfway around the world, I will never order a guitar from any store other than Haworth.

A HUGE thank you. My daughter and I purchased a Maton EBG808CLC and what an amazing instrument it is. Your guidance Phil, was most appreciated and we were grateful for the absence of high pressure selling techniques.... just sound advice of the pros and cons of different instruments.

I'd thoroughly recommend this model as a great all rounder at a good price, it is a joy to play and like I saw on the net somewhere, "once you pick up a bunya top guitar, they are hard to put down". The guitar sings so nicely you don't want to stop playing it, Aside from the sound, with the cherry gloss finish, and great craftsmanship the instrument is a thing of beauty, as my other daughter commented, a work of art. It will be played lovingly for many years to come.

The Maton M225 arrived by post Saturday 2/3/02. The guitar was set up perfectly!! I own a Martin 00028EC and this Maton M225 really gives it a run of the money... a guitar of this quality costs well over US$1000.

The guitar is a masterpiece of understated elegance. The tone is bright, crisp, with a touch of bass punch and super clear highs.

Hello Phil,

I bought a J&D Les Paul copy off you on Saturday, to use as a back up guitar.

I haven't bought a new electric guitar in 15 years and wasn't expecting too much from this guitar, but when I plugged in into my Marshall at home, I was blown away by the sound.

It has the "not too distorted", sustained distortion that I've been wanting for a long time. I used to own a Les Paul custom with EMG pick ups, and I can't notice the difference in sound.

I'm excited.

I want to thank you for the unbelievable job you've done with my Strat.

As you know I've had it for seventeen years now and have had it set up by the "pros" many times....however the guitar has never been as playable as it is now.

I was told that the buzz "was just the way it is....nothing you can do about it" well its gone now and the action is lower than its ever been with the heavy gauge strings fitted.
